A broken hand works, but not a broken heart.

A closed mouth catches no flies.

A courtyard common to all will be swept by none.

A drowning man is not troubled by rain.

A friend’s eye is a good mirror.

A loan though old is not gift.

A man does not seek his luck, luck seeks its man.

A monkey never thinks her baby’s ugly.

A silent mouth is melodious.

A son is a son till he gets him a wife, But a daughter’s a daughter the rest of your life.

A thorn defends the rose, harming only those who would steal the blossom.

A tree falls the way it leans.

All things grow with time, except grief.

An enemy will agree, but a friend will argue.

And old rat is a brave rat.

Appetite comes with eating.

As we live, so we learn.

Better give a penny then lend twenty.

Better wear out shoes than sheets.

Both your friend and your enemy think you will never die.

Climb mountains to see lowlands.

He who cannot agree with his enemies is controlled by them.

Mankind fears an evil man but heaven does not.

If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people.

Laws control the lesser man. Right conduct controls the greater one.

Not the cry, but the flight of the wild duck, leads the flock to fly and follow.

He who rides a tiger is afraid to dismount.

If you wish to know the mind of a man, listen to his words.

Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come.

May your every wish be granted.

Love your neighbors, but don’t pull down the fence.

One generation plants the trees; another gets the shade.

Heaven lent you a soul Earth will lend a grave.

Deal with the faults of others as gently as with your own.

He who could foresee affairs three days in advance would be rich for thousands of years.

Do not use a hatchet to remove a fly from your friend’s forehead.

Everyone pushes a falling fence.

If you bow at all bow low.

Give a man a fish, and he’ll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he’ll eat forever.

He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

One joy scatters a hundred grief’s.

He who smiles in a crisis has found someone to blame.

Build a man a fire, and he’ll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm for the rest of his life.

Parents can tell but never teach, unless they practice what they preach.

Money isn’t everything, but it sure keeps the kids in touch.

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

A bird in the hand is safer than one overhead.

It is easier to fight for principles than to live up to them.

Man who sneezes without hanky takes matters into his own hands.

Everyday I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I’ve stayed alive.

I can resist everything except temptation.

There are two kinds of people in life: people who like their jobs, and people who don’t work here anymore.

The fellow who never makes a mistake takes his orders from one who does.

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up

I only use deodorant under one arm, so I know what I would have smelled of.

Free speech carries with it some freedom to listen.

Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement.

Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement.

A verbal contract is not worth the paper it is written on.

Call on God, but row away from the rocks.

I had no shoes and complained, until I met a man who had no feet.

The way to overcome the angry man is with gentleness, the evil man with goodness, the miser with generosity and the liar with truth.

It is better to sit down than to stand, it is better to lie down than to sit, but death is the best of all.

You can often find in rivers what you cannot find in oceans.

Where love reigns the impossible may be attained.

You can only lean against that which resists.

A smile you sent, will always return.

Do not blame God for having created the tiger, but thank him for not having given it wings.

Keep five yards from a carriage, ten yards from a horse, and a hundred yards from an elephant; but the distance one should keep from a wicked man cannot be measured.

Life is a bridge. Cross over it, but build no house on it.

A guilty conscience is a hidden enemy.

Life is not a continuum of pleasant choices, but of inevitable problems that call for strength, determination, and hard work.

Agriculture is best, enterprise is acceptable, but avoid being on a fixed wage.

Blaming your faults on your nature does not change the nature of your faults.

To watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak.

If we dig precious things from the land, we will invite disaster.

Don’t judge any man until you have walked two moons in his shoes.

Call on God, but row away from the rocks.

A hedge between keeps friendship green.

Gardens, like money in the bank, accumulate interest as they grow.

A good garden is like a good book – you always enjoy starting it again.

Friends are flowers than never fade.

If you would be happy all your life, plant a garden.

One who plants a garden, plants happiness.

April Showers bring May Flowers.

Gardens, like money in the bank, accumulate interest as they grow.

A beautiful garden is the work of the heart.

The early bird catches the worm.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

A society is great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit.

Can’t see the forest for the trees.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

He that plants a tree plants for posterity.

Friends are flowers than never fade.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

From tiny acorns mighty oaks grow.

Can’t see the forest for the trees.

Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped.

This great panorama of creation dates back to time immemorial. No one lives who saw it’s beginning. No one will live to see it’s end, Except God.

Lack of knowledge is darker than night.

Even the mightest eagle comes down to the tree tops to rest.

A feeble effort will not fulfill the self.

One goat cannot carry another goat’s tail.

Those who walk together warn each other.

God has given principles to live by, But only you yourself can follow them.

A ripe melon falls by itself.

Unity is strength.

A comb becomes bad when it hurts you.

If all seeds that fall were to grow, then no one could follow the path under the trees.

To punch with a strong fist, you need to turn over your hand.

A cutting word is worse than a bowstring, a cut may heal, but the cut of the tongue does not.

A student doesn’t know about masterhood but a master knows about studenthood.

A proud heart can survive a general failure because such a failure does not prick its pride.

A bird is in the air but its mind is on the ground.

When the drumbeat changes, the Dance changes.

The bitter heart eats it’s owner.

A stranger has big eyes but sees nothing.
